Hello my beautiful mother! The branch president hasn't given us any other families, but we didn't have a meeting last week because of the temple dedication. Also, we weren't able to meet those local members because our weekend plans got changed a bit. I didn't see Chee Wei or Brandon this week. Also, the package was entirely from me, including the postcard. I'm suprised it took them so long to send it, I left them with money and everything. This week has been pretty crazy. Almost as crazy as the fact that Jordan starts in a few weeks. I was supposed to exchange with the Zone Leaders on Thursday night, but after we had traveled 45 minutes, about halfway, they called us and said they couldn't exchange tonight for some reason, so we ended up going back to the apartment. The next morning as we planned, we weren't sure if we should plan for an exchange or not, so we gave them a call. They told me instead of going to Puchong to exchange with the Zone Leaders I was going to go to Cheras. So, I thought they just changed up who they wanted to go where for the exchange, but then they said to pack and take everything to Cheras. So, as of now, I am in the Cheras branch, not in KL, with literally zero notice. I packed and left immediately following that phone call. I didn't get to teach the Chinese ladies, but I heard that two of them and three of their kids came to the activity that Elder Zaleski and I grinded to set up for this Saturday night. Usually the district center does a district YSA activity every other Saturday, but it's an hour away. So I told Elder Zaleski we could just start doing our own, so I planned it, made a flyer, grinded all week inviting people we met to come, and then I moved to a different branch the day before. I was literally looking forward to it all week but then I moved to Cheras. BUT, the Cheras missionaries had planned to go to the district YSA activity, so I was like, I guess that's basically the same thing, but it was pretty bad. At the height of the activity, there were three YSA members there from the entire district, and only one nonmember, then like 7 missionaries from all the branches. The activity we set up in KL had 7 nonmembers and 7 members with only two missionaries. Plus, the district center is an hour away from Cheras too, so I talked to Elder Barfuss and our YSA representative, and we're going to start having our own every week that the district doesn't. I love the new language study materials I've gotten, but I'm really struggling to get a better accent. It's funny because the people from China understand me, and I can understand them when they talk slowly, and they tell me I speak better than the Malay-Chinese. But, the Malay-Chinese can't understand me very well, and I don't understand them. All my resources are for Mainland-China and Taiwan, so that's what I do language study with, it's kind of unfortunate. Miracle: I received some amazing revelation this week. As I was reading in the New Testament, I came across a part I had highlighted and made a note on 4 years ago on gospel library. As I reread the scripture and read the note I'd taken, I remembered the exact moment I had made that note, and I was totally overcome by the warmth of the Holy Spirit. It answered a question I'd been struggling to answer for quite some time, and I am extremely grateful:) Challenge: I met a million people these last two days and I don't remember any of their names 😆 Also, I'm gonna miss a lot of people from KL and I had zero time to say goodbye to anyone 😥 Good News: It looks like I'll be able to use Chinese way more often in this area. Also, a former local missionary who returned home last week, brother Cho, is in our branch, and he is super excited to help us, plus he speaks like 7 languages, including Mandarin. Get some rest mama, love you! Elder Jaxon Wardle
