Thanksgiving and My New Companion

I am doing well. It hasn't been quite a full week, but I love my new companion. Elder Astel is from Logan, Utah and has 5 siblings. He has two older brothers, two younger sisters, and a younger brother. He is the first in his family to go on a mission though. Also, he is 21, but only 9 months into his mission. He graduated from a tech school before coming out. He likes to talk a lot, probably more than me, and it is awesome in lessons. I've learned from him that people like to hear personal experiences and stories.
Thanksgiving was awesome but I think we probably spent more time there than we should have. There were about 35 people there. We had to leave before dessert, but a lesson cancelled later, so we came back to share something with the Wetenkamps and got dessert which was fun. The Wetenkamps remember Dad's family, the grandparents, not their kids though.
Zay was actually getting a tattoo on the day we were supposed to meet with him and it took longer than he thought, so we rescheduled for tonight.
Carol missed church again and actually got her booster and had people over so she rescheduled for next Sunday.
We met with Sarah this week, but Keith was sleeping. Keith said something came up, so they both missed church this week though.
Aman - wished him a good thanksgiving, told him reading and praying would help him with his schooling and studies. He thanked us and said he reads everyday and will be done with school in about 3 weeks.
Both Adrian and Isael were not there for our return appointments, but we've talked to both since then. Isael is still down to study with us, but he's hard to catch and Adrian didn't remember our first vist because he was drunk and was also drunk the second time we saw him.
Challenge:
Tons of people were out of town because of Thanksgiving and it's pitch black during our mandatory finding time from 5-7. Good news: They just barely removed that directive and while we still do at least two hours of finding time a week, it can be during whatever time and now we can schedule lessons between 5 and 7 which we couldn't before and it was super inconvenient.
Miracle:
As part of removing that area directive we were also permitted to have meals with people outside of just dinner on Saturday and Sunday, as long as they are less active or non-members and we share a message. Literally the day after they announce that, this random guy on the street called us over and said he'd love to have us over for lunch and do a bible study with his family. Awesome.
