Good morning!
Sarah and Keith didn't make it to church this week. They are feeling better though. Unfortunately, no celebration, they relapsed again. They want to get better, but seems like it's going to be a slow process.
Sister Brewer didn't come to church this week but she watched over zoom. Elizabeth came again. Mary also came again and it was so scary. She went up during testimony meeting and shared the weirdest religious/life story ever for 20 minutes. Including a part where Jesus came into her house and started grabbing her toes while she was sleeping. It was insane.
I did have a lesson with Bertha and her two older daughters this week. It was pretty short because we had another appointment, but they all have a Book of Mormon now, and they're going to read as a family this week.
Carol didn’t end up having jury duty this week. But we still were not able to meet because she was still moving her sister out. We do have something schedule for this week. She didn’t come to church either though so that was super sad.
Yeah, I was super excited that Mary downloaded the scriptures on her phone. Her husband seemed pretty chill when we came by but he still doesn’t join us for the lessons. Mary mentioned that she has so many questions about our church but she recognized that it all comes down to the Book of Mormon so she said she’d read and pray. I’m excited to see how that goes.
Elder Baak did get permission to study Chinese with me but he can’t do it everyday, once or twice a week is all but that’s alright. I haven’t talked with Hao Ming or anyone else in Chinese.
We forgot to go see Juan. That’s the guy we went to do the service for, well we showed up to do service but he ended up not needing it. But we will stop by this week.
I have not been experiencing that bad motion sickness so that’s been good.
Miracle: The other day we were walking to the church and there was somebody in the church parking lot. We went over and she had stopped because she was trying to turn airplane mode off on her phone but she didn’t know how. So, we were helping her and she noticed my ring. She said, “Oh, I like your ring, where did you get it?” I told her my mom bought it for me for my birthday from the church store. (I got it at Seagull Book.) So we talked about church a little bit and I got her number and the rundown of her family and her life story and we are going to hopefully visit her soon. So that was pretty cool.
Challenge: I’ve got nothing at the moment, maybe I’ll send something later.
Good News: Oh!!! I just got told tentatively that I am scheduled to leave for Singapore on April 7th so we’ll see how that goes. That will be sic!
Prayer requests: I feel like there is somebody. Marquita always asks for prayers for her and her daughter. Also, we taught her again and found out where she lives and we are passing her off this week. Actually tomorrow morning. Prayers for help for her and her daughter with moving and stability. California needs some rain. Pray that Mary gets an answer when she reads and prays this week and that she recognizes it.
Love you, Elder Jaxon Wardle
