Batu Caves & Zone Busyness

Hey mama,

So this last week, we had a ton of things going on. I think we had 3 mission-wide devotionals, zone conference, zone blitz, exchanges, and I went to Batu Caves on Monday. Unfortunately, with all of these things going on, we were out of our area all week (we moved to PJ so we could fit all the Elders coming for Zone Conference and the PJ sisters moved into our smaller apartment for the week). Not only that, but our apartment (Cheras) is being repainted today, so we've moved out and into the KL Elder's apartment. Luckily, KL is much closer to our area than PJ, so we'll still be able to do a lot of work, but going to our church building will be about an hour instead of 30 minutes.

I learned a lot during our zone conference and such, but by far my favorite part of this week was the zone blitz and exchanges. During both, I got to be with Elder Tarwasokono again. It was so much fun, and we actually found two new people to teach (Ang and Sue), both of whom came to church on Sunday for our District Conference. The sad part is, both of them live in the PJ area (which makes sense, since we were living in PJ this week), so we introduced them to the other missionaries on Sunday and they scheduled lessons with them. But, I'm excited to hear how they progress.

Miracle:

We were going through old contacts, and we found this number that prior missionaries had texted once before, and then never talked to the guy again. Someone must've gotten his number, texted the guy so that he had the missionaries number and then forgot about him. Anyway, we reached out to the number a couple weeks ago and were able to meet with him after church yesterday, and he was so sincere about learning. His name is Lee Hau (17-18) and he doesn't think his parents approve of religion much, but he really wants to learn. I definitely felt the Spirit as he said his first prayer at the end of the lesson. He didn't recognize it, but I'm sure it will come soon:)

Challenge:

We were out of our area all of last week, we won't be back to our apartment until next Monday.

Good news:

I'm just excited for no reason in particular. We've got roommates now, so that's cool too.

Love,

Elder Jaxon Wardle
